Technical Drawing

Technical Drawing

Technical DrawingTechnical Drawing is taken by an appreciable number of senior Science-based students in the College. They see the subject as a considerable help to their future studies and as especially applicable in the engineering arena.

As there are opportunities for the College students to visualise objects from different perspectives it is easy to see why they particularly appreciate this subject. They too, understand that Technical Drawing helps them to think analytically and that being able to make a simple drawing assists immeasurably in communicating sophisticated ideas in several professions.

The College course seeks to provide the students with:

An understanding of the theoretical and applied concept of visual representation
A vocational orientation for further training in building and mechanical drawing.
The basic saleable skills in building and mechanical occupations.
A solid grounding in safe working habits.

In the College, draughtsmanship and creativity are particularly emphasised.
